The 2010 Kia Sportage sees no major changes. Sportage comes in LX and EX trim levels. LX is available with a 140-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine or a 173-horsepower 2.7-liter V6. The EX is V6 only. The 4-cylinder teams with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, the V6 with automatic only. All versions offer front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Note that the automatic transmission 4-cylinder is front-drive only. The AWD lacks low-range gearing, but a dashboard switch locks in a 50/50 front/rear power split. Maximum towing capacity is 1,500 pounds with the 4-cylinder and 2,000 pounds with the V6. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. An EX Luxury Package includes leather upholstery and heated front seats.
