ADVERTISEMENTS
The 2010 Nissan Versa is available with additional safety features and slightly freshened exterior styling. Versa comes as a 4-door sedan or 4-door hatchback. These compact cars slot beneath Nissan's Sentra in size and price. Entry-level 1.6 Base and 1.6, mid-level S, and top-line SL trim levels return. All 1.6 versions are a sedan only and have a 107-horsepower 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine. S and SL return as sedans or hatchbacks and use a 122-horsepower 1.8-liter 4-cylinder. All 1.6 versions have a 5-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed manual transmission is available on the S. A 4-speed automatic is available on the 1.6 and S and standard on the SL sedan. The SL hatchback has a standard continuously variable transmission (CVT) that behaves much like an automatic. Available safety features include ABS, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. Traction control and an antiskid system are newly standard on the SL and optional on the S. Other available features include cruise control, a navigation system, remote entry, and power locks and windows. A wireless cell-phone link, keyless access and engine start, remote engine start, and a sunroof are optional on the SL.
